Quippy (YC F26) is a daily practice room for the conversations people dread. You pick a real situation, like disagreeing with your manager or starting a conversation at a party, rehearse it with a realistic scene partner by voice or text, and get honest, line-by-line feedback on what landed. The app is live on the App Store.
You will be one of the first engineers at Quippy. You will take features from a rough idea to something in people's hands, talk to the people using it, and help decide what we build next. Most weeks, something you wrote ships to real users.
What you will work on
- Build product end to end across the iOS app (Expo, React Native, TypeScript) and the backend (Node, tRPC, Postgres)
- Make realtime voice and text conversations feel natural, and make the feedback after them honest and useful
- Shape the practice curriculum, onboarding, and the daily habit that brings people back
- Measure what works, cut what does not, and ship the next version quickly
You might be a fit if
- You have built something real that other people used, at a job or on your own
- You move fast and you care how the product feels in someone's hand
- You take a vague problem and own it until it is solved
- You are curious about how people talk to each other
